The primary aspect focused on for this project wasn't just how the device was used, but also what wasn't used. User testing from the start coupled with general research gave insights as to how the user experience could be changed and improved.

Trimming Down Through Form

Simple Interface

The touch screen interface would lay within the toaster behind a smooth plane of insulated glass. The glass would be cool to the touch even when the oven is on, and nonstick glass makes cleaning a breeze. Most importantly, extraneous features are trimmed down to a minimum to keep clutter down. Updates for additional features and functions would be available via a WiFi.
